The Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County is one of only three professional theaters on Long Island, and remains the oldest of the three. The modern facility at Bellport, is surrounded by a beautifully landscaped rustic exterior creates a unique theater going experience that is unparalleled on Long Island. The history and evolution of the Playhouse could be a movie in the making, with its many transitions, variety of productions, and a long list of colorful characters from on stage and off. It would be a movie about how three generations of a single family have fashioned what was once a farm on eastern Long Island into one of the top ten summer theaters in the nation.
The Performing Arts Center of Suffolk County strives to enrich a wide range of communities with quality theatrical experiences through diverse arts, entertainment and educational programs. We endeavor to serve these communities in a fiscally responsible manner, to provide affordable resources to schools and non-profit organizations, and to ensure the future of the theatrical arts in our region.
